There's this game of Celebrating other people's success that needs deep investigation. Do people really feel cool with watching their friends or colleagues suddenly rising above them? This is difficult to either agree or disagree with but if the truth must be told, this scenario is more than often a game than it is reality.
So this is how it works,.... You were living next door to each other, you are attending same church or volunteering together.... or let's just say that you are doing this hustling thing together. Then something happened and his story begin to change. At first, you will be happy for him. Then he got another opportunity and another and yet another while you still there adding struggle with hustle.
So you will be happy for him and at the same time start unconsciously to feel intimidated by his progress but you won't have the courage to admit this, instead you will naturally start feeling resentful and if you find any loopholes; like him not replying to your email or call or something, then you will begin to create a new narrative of how arrogant and proud he is.
Your comments and remarks about him will begin to change.
The science of growth is that it intimidates and box people up. Unfortunately, the guy at the other end is just living his new life. All his friends wants his attention at the same time while host of other new people trails him daily that he may have it difficult to see and respond to calls and messages in good time.
This is why I use to advise people to be deliberate in their progress so that their progress will not consume them.
Friends, the truth is, you have to learn how to make it a lifestyle to celebrate your friends or people around you who are currently making headlines.
The shortest way to getting your own breakthrough miracle is despite how you feel, you are still happy with other people's progress, success and daily identifying with them in your actions and sincerely talk about them to others in love and understanding.
Life is crazy but it is governed by rules. These rules are not sentimental. It doesn't matter how you feel about it, the rules stand.
Don't care how those succeeding today carry or parade themselves, celebrate them. Their time is not forever and your own breakthrough is faster when you truly celebrate them.
And if you're making steady progress, remember how you felt about those ahead of you. Be deliberate about your actions and be consciously nice to people.
Enjoy your holiday.
