The history of the Supreme Eiye Confraternity owes its heritage to the wise and noble "Aro Metta". On the 15th June 1969 the "Aro Metta" came together under the Araba tree, to develop what will be recognised as the first constitution of the Supreme Eiye Confraternity any years later.
This event signalled the beginning of the most traditional and original confraternity in Nigerian history. From Araba nest, Eleye grew in power, fame and recognition. reaching far and wide, unrestricted, undeterred, unfazed. Reaching as far as the sky spread. From the far north of Rimi to the western end of Iroko.
From the Plains of Dogo Yaro to the marshes of Mangrove, Eiye flew and Eiye grew, gaining followership in Masonia, Ebony, Obeche, Ceder, Jacaranda, Acacia. Conquering in Baobab, Abura, Iyere, Akoko, Carolina, all over Nigeria, and finally world wide. And until today, the Supreme Eiye Confraternity remains the only Frat that takes its full origin in the African culture.
This is made evident by the name of the confraternity, its traditions, its creed and its ways. even the famed whistle signal, when decoded, embeds the rich Yoruba language in it.
